What was your friends' reaction when you announced you were engaged?

Yes! I was like uhhhhhhh well it just happened so we don't have anything planned yet!

That's disappointing. Well we're all happy for you and as long as you know that you're meant to be together, that's all that matters!

Haha isn't it funny how people immediately ask for details? The same thing happened to us and we were like "well he only decided to propose a couple days ago so we'll get back to you!"

I was the first of my group of friends to get engaged so I think they were surprised but very happy because they knew we were meant to be together! I had caught the bouquet at my friend's wedding the month before and she was ecstatic and very proud of herself for throwing me the bouquet!

We've had a long engagement bc of family obligations. Having special needs children put everything in perspective for us at that time. Everyone has been supportive and patiently awaiting our wedding announcement and that was so beautiful for us.

Friends were happy all around. Excited and one was as surprised as me that it was happening (thought it never would)

I got a lot of congratulations, most people said FINALLY or it's about time.... and surprisingly people asked the night it happened what date we picked lol!

They were all happy and excited!

My friend's reaction was of happiness and some said "it's about time!" Overall, very supportive!

In one word.... FINALLY!!!!!! LOL

Some were really excited but unfortunately some weren't excited or even happy
