What time does your ceremony start?

What time of day is your wedding ceremony start? Are you getting an early start, or will it be an evening affair? Are you starting on the hour, or half hour?

My MIL takes lithium at night, which leaves her waking up in the morning feeling reeally groggy... originally we'd decided on 11AM, but that would have been too early for her so we moved it to 1. We're not doing first look photos so it's going to be a little bit rushed after the ceremony, but there's plenty of time to start getting ready. Worst case scenario, we arrive late and the reception and dinner starts a little later than planned... right?

This is so smart - I've considered doing this as I have friends who are late for everything as well, you may have just sold me on the idea lol

Bright and early at 11:30 AM we are having a brunch style wedding because I LOOOOOVE mimosas.
It's also on a Sunday and I wanted to make sure everyone got to sleep. I HATE weddings that run late on Sundays.

The invitations say 3:00pm and doors open at 2:30pm, but the actual ceremony is going to start at 3:15pm. I have some extended family that are perpetually late for EVERYTHING and wouldn't bat an eyelash at trying to sneak in, even during my entrance/walk. We're doing this to minimize int interruptions. The venue event manager knows and is totally on-board with this Smiley xd

We're having a Friday evening wedding. We haven't quite nailed down an exact time, but probably close to 8 o'clock!

Ours was set for 4:30pm only since the venue wouldn't allow time any earlier.

Our ceremony is at 4pm, and the reception starts at 6pm! Gives us time to take photos while our guests freshen up at the resort or grab a drink.

We are planning a 1:30 p.m. ceremony. This will allow for plenty of picture time afterwards and time for us to catch our breath. A little cocktail hour for the guests to have some food and drink then head back to their rooms to relax and freshen up. Then by 5p.m they will be ready for the reception.

I dont have time set in stone yet but I was thinking 4:30. Most weddings dont start on time so it would most likely be all over and done with by 5 and half hour for pictures in ceremony room before we walk down to the reception area. Start cocktail hour at 5:30.
