We’re super particular about music so we went with a DJ and a well thought out and curated music selection!


Groom/groomsmen walk down the aisle: We told the DJ to play my longtime love of Vitamin String Quartet without saying a specific song and he chose the cover of “Somewhere Only We Know” which was originally going to be our last song of the night - we had no idea he was choosing this and I teared up hearing that selection and the thought he put into it
Bride/bridal party: cover of the song “Today” (Smashing Pumpkins) by Williamette Stone - There was a pause as I walked in with the build
First kiss: Sky Full of Stars - Coldplay
Wedding Party Reception Entrance: Friday by Riton & Nightcrawlers ft Mufasa (our wedding was on a Friday and we always play this on Fridays at home)
Bride/Groom reception entrance: continuation of “Sky Full of Stars”

Stepmother/Son dance: He Gets That From Me - Reba McEntire (my husband’s father has passed)
Dedication to my beloved Grandmother who passed close to our wedding: “Sudbury Saturday Night” - Stompin Tom (I am from Sudbury and he was her favourite - It was the final song we played at her funeral and I wanted to surprise my family by calling them to the dance floor to all dance together in a happy moment in her honour)
Kick off party song: “I’ve got a feeling” - Black Eyed Peas
I feel like my bestie and I had an unofficial dance to “New Slang” - The Shins at some point
