    He is making these three pilar like candle holders out of wood that kind of merge together to symbolize two families becomming one and he will be burning into the wooden base of each set ( The day two families became one and our wedding date) ... and he has a wooden barn board he has made up with my caligraphy help of course lol to go with it ... that will each have different sayings about families

    We are doing photos after the wedding but I am debating getting the parents something small on the wedding day.

    For my mom, I got her a bracelet of her mother's signature. Her mom passed away 6 years ago and it was very difficult not having her there for the wedding. I had seen this idea and was saving it for a special occasion and I thought this was perfect! My mom loved it! (And I gave it to her before the wedding day because I knew she was going to cry.)

    My husband got his mom a necklace to match her dress but she ended up buying herself a necklace! Hers was nicer so he returned his and got her a bracelet instead. Smiley winking For my MIL's birthday, I got her a keychain like the one you posted and my husband made her a nice shadowbox with pics from the wedding. I was impressed with him for being crafty!
