What do I do for the flower girls and ring bearers

Kirsten, on February 27, 2020 at 12:15 Posted in Wedding ceremony 0 12
My nephews and dog are going to be the ring bearers and my fiance's nieces the flower girls. We are not doing a wedding party so I'm a little stumped on if I give them their own song to walk down to or if they walk down to the beginning of mine? Also how long after do I follow them? I may be overthinking things lol but I'm less than 2 months away and getting stressed.

There is no bridal party so I am worried that it would be weird and broken up. So I'm thinking I'm going to use the acoustic non lyric version of the song for them than blend into the lyrics for myself to make a little difference

A solution can be to have your song played as soon as you are ready to walk giving the cue and knowing its on time.

My only concern with the different songs thing is I don't want it to be too broken up? Than it is also another thing that I need to think of that I'm not thinking of lol

Processional music can be one for the flower girls/ring bearers and seperate for you if chosen this route.
You can choose one song to keep it simple and easy.
Walking down can have equal space between the flower girls and ring bearers. Wait until the aisle is clear and then make your way down.

I'll have to talk to the fiance and see what he says lol. Such a pain. There is some trees at the end but won't be a lot of cover

Hmmmm... pop up tent? Smiley tongue In that case I would say it's up to you if you want to walk right after them or wait then - if you walk right after it does bring the fact that if they get distracted you might catch up to them.

I feel like I'll be distracting to begin with lol, there isn't really any cover at the end I'd the isle of me to use to wait, the ceremony is on an island in a national park so I'm limited on what I can do, covers are a no

I would give them a separate song so that guests know when to stand for you to come down the aisle and I would wait until they are finished walking so that all eyes are on you.

You can do either one, whichever you prefer! If it’s long aisle and the kids are little, maybe their own quick song would be good. If you think they’ll probably tear down, you could track them on to your song without hiccups. The good thing is, you’ll have time during the rehearsal to establish the pace too.
