What date should I use?

Eden, on April 2, 2019 at 22:27 Posted in Wedding reception 0 10
So my wedding is still a little ways away, but I have been contemplating this sort-of issue that I know we will run into and I would like some opinions please!

My FH and I will be eloping on June 20, 2020 and then having our reception party a week later on June 27, 2020. At our reception party our wedding favor to our guests is a photo booth that will have unlimited prints throughout the evening.

The bottom of the prints will have our names as well as the date, but I'm stuck on what date we should use?? Should we have our actual "wedding date" on the photos or the date of the party? Or should it just say June 2020? What do you guys think?

You should use your wedding date though its just the reception your having to celebrate your actual wedding.

I would either go with the date of the reception or just June 2020.

I like just June 2020, but for it comes down which date do you want your guests to remember, your actual wedding date or the reception date. Maybe you'll always get late anniversary cards/ messages lol

Thanks for the advice everyone! I'm glad I asked because before I was thinking it made more sense to have the date of our actual wedding, but now looking it at from the perspective of our guests they would probably want the date of the party they attended.

I think you should do the date of the party just because that is the date that will stand out more to the guests. you guys will have your anniversary on June 20 which is the actual date but for the guests they will probably always think of it as June 27.

also the photos will be for them to take home so they would probably like it to have the date that they celebrated

I would definitely do the date of the party for that. It is up to you which date you choose to celebrate for anniversaries etc. But this is the day you are celebrating with your loved ones and they are bringing home a keepsake from that day so it should have that date.

For sure put the date of the reception. They are coming to that part of the celebration and the other date didn't have anything to do with them.

If you were wanting to use your actual wedding date perhaps the best route to go is June 2020 though Smiley smile

I agree with Bianca! I would put the date of the party!

If the favour is for the guests then mention the date that they will be celebrating with you!

I would put the day of the party! It's the day everyone is joining you to celebrate and a night they will remember!
