What colour is the stone on your engagement ring?

My fiance knew that I am not a traditional person and would want an amethyst rather than a diamond. He only decided a couple days before that he was going to propose so my mom had a friend who is a jeweler so he went in and said "I need a purple ring" and this is what he got. After he proposed, I asked what the story was behind the ring and he told me that he just needed something quick and that we could pick out my ring together and use the stone from the engagement ring. We ended up leaving the stone in the other ring because it had sentimental value and luckily amethysts aren't that expensive so we just got a new stone for the new ring! The new ring has a large amethyst with two smaller emeralds on the sides to represent our favourite colours! I did love the original ring but the setting was too high and would catch on everything.
