Its sad that family tears up because of one brother and not the other to say they won't come of someone. Their loss and the last minute cancellation is just not right to do. Enjoy your day making the best of it and celebrate.

I'm sorry to hear about all the last-minute cancellations, but at least they're cancelling beforehand and not just being no-shows?

I love this, he looks so proud!! It's too bad that you had some family cancel so close to your date and that your FH is struggling with this. Perhaps after the wedding you spend time with these aunties.

We had a few people cancel too, and we are only a few days away. Unfortunately it's inevitable. If you have any coworkers or anything you wanted to invite but couldn't maybe you last minute can now?

That is really frustrating that they are cancelling super last minute. When do you need to have final numbers in to your venue?

Thankfully ours are only due 2 days before so unless someone is super last minute we wont be stuck with paying for them anyways.

My SIL & BIL had to pay for a group of people at their wedding because there was a death on one side after they submitted the numbers.

I think the most positive phrase I’ve heard and definitely want to apply it myself when I start receiving those RSVPs with “not attending” on them is “enjoy the company of those who came”. I think it’s so important to appreciate those who are coming, and whoever isn’t coming ...give them the benefit of the doubt - whether they have a good reason or not, it’s not worth it to stress yourself out over why they aren’t coming.

I completely agree - at least they aren't proposing at your wedding! That's one thing that I made sure to tell as many people I know that I would HATE for that to take place at my wedding. I would have also hated if that's how my FH proposed to me if he had - just not the place for it IMO...

As for the family cancellations - what the actual heck?? I'm sorry, but my Aunt and Uncle bailed on my wedding social to go on a vacation and I barely want them at my wedding at all. If they had bailed on the wedding itself (there's still time for them to do so...) I would just straight up disown them and want nothing to do with them. (Side note - they always bail on everything including Christmas.)

He looks adorable! That is disappointing for you FH, and sad since they are so close. Are they older that they don't like to drive at night or do you know why they all canceled? Have you gave your final numbers to catering? I know once you give final here you get charged for that amount.

Love the outfit!!! We are doing Ring Security too for the boys (for the reception not the church ceremony) we got them little briefcases and Secuirty ID badges I'm so excited for them!

Monopoly normally ruins friendships, but on WeddingWire, seating plans and RSVPs ruin friendships lol.

Oh, well at least you know there won't be any surprise proposals at the wedding! Honestly, in the first couple of weeks, people don't do any planning so I'm sure they'll still be focused on you and your FH's wedding!

He's more upset with his little brother asking his girlfriend to get married 2 weeks before we get married. We've said congratulations and all that, but even fh said he doesn't remember if they congratulated us. I'm personally past that now since I have alot more to think about it, but he's hanging on to that now too

Sorry to hear about the family cancellations, I'd suggest making sure your FH isn't feeling too down about them not coming and try to make up for that by helping him focus on all the other people who will be attending!
