Wedding Venue Issues

We are doing ours at heritage park. It depends on what type of look you want.

Have you looked at being outside of Calgary proper for the wedding? My friend got married in Cochrane at the RancheHouse and it was beautiful!! Might be worth checking out.

We are doing ours at the Grey Eagle Casino they are very reasonable in price and willing to work with your budget. It is at a hotel but that means you don't need to worry about transportation to and from venue to the hotel, our ceremony and reception are at the same location.

Kelleagh the sales manager is amazing to work with, she asked what our budget was and able to meet our budget by $2,000-3,000 cheaper. Doesn't include the booze but food, rental fees and all that included with our price.

If you are set on a particular date you may want to look at hotels. Some do have very good food options. And don’t be afraid to ask if they are willing to work with you, they may adjust the meal to fit in your budget, or not charge a room rental fee etc.

If you have a venue you have your heart set on then you may need to pick a different date.

You can always do a google search for wedding venue ideas in your city.

Have you considered changing the date? A venue you really like and is in budget may have a nearer available date?

What’s your budget and how many people are you expecting? What kind of vibe are you looking for? That info might help the group come up with options for you.

My coworker is having her wedding in a brewery and serving finger foods instead of a tradition plated dinner. I guess a brewery won’t work for you though. Have you looked at restaurants?

Our reception is at a bar, you can book an entire floor and the catering is reasonable. I asked a lot of friends for recommendations and spent a lot of time on Google trying to find the perfect location.
