Wedding Venue in and around Calgary

Ani88, on June 21, 2019 at 10:03 Posted in Alberta 0 8
Hello beautiful brides! We are looking for a venue where we can bring our own drinks (open bar) and potentially own caterer.. This seems so hard to find! We have two options at the moment: Dewinton Hall and the Greek Hall in Calgary. Any other venues that we should be looking at? (guests 180-220) Thanks!

Thanks for letting me know! Unfortunately, this is a little bit too far away for us.

It's not in Calgary but we booked at the Badlands Community Centre in Drummheller! And you have to bring your own drinks and catering!

It’s not just the caterer bur most important we need an open bar.. Community halls are the ones we are looking at and the choices are limited.

Hey there! Congratulations on your engagement!

It is always a little more difficult to find venues that allow you to bring in external caterers, or at least don't request that you choose your caterer off a pre-approved list.

Have you already chosen a caterer? If so, ask them where they have previously worked for weddings. They will have a good knowledge of what venues in the area will allow you your bring them in.

Thanks for the tip! But that would be too small for us.

Triwood community centers I believe can hold up to 180 in the charleswood hall?

They allow you to bring your own liquor with a corkage fee, but you have to use their catering.

We’re having our reception at the Silver Springs Community Centre which can accommodate up to 200 people! We’re having an open bar and bringing in our own caterer as well!
