Wedding transportation help

Sam, on July 25, 2019 at 20:58 Posted in Before the wedding 0 9

Wedding is October 2020, about 30 mins from where 'most' guests live, about 15-20 mins to closest hotels.

Im not sure what to do about transportation.. I would love for everyone to be able to drink and enjoy and get home safely. I am worried people will leave early if they cant keep drinking due to driving.. I considered renting a bus/limo etc. but everyone will be going to different locations and I have no idea if companies would make multiple trips/stops.

Any advice?

Sadly everyone is not all staying at one place. Everyone will be leaving and going home to there own houses, therein lies my issue because I don’t think shuttles will take multiple people to all different locations

There are shuttle companies so get one that can make two trip to the hotel maybe one around 10 for early guests and older people and then around 2 am for the late party people

Honestly I think I just need to not worry about it lol. After looking at how much we are already spending it's just not something I can even spend the money on. As long as I get someone to drive me home after Smiley laugh

I've been wondering about the same thing! Our venue is more than an hour away from the city and the nearest hotel is 30 mins away. We were thinking to hire a bus to shuttle guests between the venue, hotel, and city. Bus companies will make multiple stops yes, but I'm not sure if they will do it per house. So my thought is, the guests will have to be picked up/dropped off in a common area in the city, where they parked their cars. So they will still drive impaired which defeats the purpose of the shuttle Smiley sad

We arrived to the conclusion of not renting a shuttle. Similar to what Casey had said, they are adults, they are more than capable of finding a safe ride home if they want to drink.

I rented a bus and it has a pick up and drop off at a hotel. We have a block of rooms there but most guests using it just want a way to get back to the city. I have like 40 people signed up which I think only 6 are staying at the hotel. I would just make it part of the RSVP and put on the wedding website that it's contingent on having enough people want it.

It is very difficult to do transportation when everyone is going different places.
In my opinion, we are paying for a wedding, and they are adults, they are more than capable of finding a safe ride home if they want to drink.
If everyone was going to a hotel to stay it would be easier to get a large bus for transportation!
Maybe suggest car pooling to people? Or sharing cabs that way costs are lower
