    Merci Kayla

We will do the ceremony at Guelph church

    For the reception, still tight

I got my dress new but very good deal.

    Buy and sell for decorations.

stillwhite.ca sells pre-owned wedding dresses (some are brand new), but they're like half the cost.

Think outside the box. Somewhere that may not be an actual wedding venue, but are willing to work with you. Some places may give you a good deal.

I know nothing about Kitchener, but if you can cut costs anywhere, it can be helpful.

If you're getting married in November, you won't want to do it in a park. Check out the rates at community centres. Often they have kitchen facilities that you can use. One bride I know cooked everything ahead of time and froze it. She saved a ton of money that way. She did need some help to heat everything and serve it but it was well worth it. There are lots of ways to save money:

    1) buy a simple white dress rather than a wedding dress or go to thrift shops to find 2nd hand dresses for $100.00

    2) buy your rings online - I got my fiancé's wedding band for $100.00

    3) make your decorations - dollar stores are great for that

    4) make your own favours

    5) simple bouquets and centrepieces with dollar store or Costco flowers are the way to go

    6) bake your own cake - instructional videos are on youtube

    7) look for wedding stuff on Varage sale - people are always selling their wedding gear on that site.

These are just some suggestions. I hope they help.

You could try hosting it in a park or in someone's backyard. That will cut costs significantly. Plan a budget and cut on things you don't really care about but put that money into something else.
