Wedding Insurance

Hiya! Does any one have any suggestions of insurance agencies to get wedding insurance in BC? We're about to put book our venue and put our deposit down, but we aren't getting married until August 2019! Are all coverages only active for 1 year? So would it be best to purchase insurance closer to the date?

I'm wondering also as I live in Ontario and getting married July 2019. I'm about to put a deposit too. I hope they give coverage more than a year.

PAL Insurance is where we got ours. Their website has alot of good information about the packages available. Check with them but I would get the policy as soon as possible because you want your deposits and payments to be covered.

I purchased insurance through PAL Canada. They have different levels of coverage. Thankfully we didn't need it. They also cover stuff like honeymoon insurance, so it may be worthwhile giving them a look.

Hey Kristie, that's a really good question. We have an article that goes through the basics of what you need to know when looking for wedding insurance, taking a look through it might help:

I would double check with your current insurance broker, they will generally give you a deal since you are already using their services. They will be able to answer your questions in the respect of the timeline. I'm unsure how this all works as we will get our PAL insurance through them but that's probably it.
