Wedding greenery table runner

Gabriella, on March 13, 2019 at 23:36 Posted in DIY 0 3
Hello! I’m planning on DIYing some wedding greenery table runners for our wedding, but don’t know how long the greenery will last without water. I’m going for a minimal look so there won’t be enough greenery to hide a water source.

Do any any of you know how long a wedding greenery table runner lasts/ have tips on making sure they’re not limp when it comes to reception time?

Thanks!

    HI Gabriella!

How did you make out with the greenery? I went to a wedding recently and they had fake greenery which looked amazing! She was able to get hers online at a reputable place from London which had a sale. I would go to a florist to get idea of how long and then if you wanted to order from elsewhere it gives you ideas of length! Also, check with venue on the size of tables

Hey Gabriella! I love table runners made from greenery! Are you going for a simple look or going for something more extravagant?

I completely agree with Valérie, if fake greenery is at all possible it would really ease your mind. You would know that when the reception starts, the runners will look exactly how you want them to look and will avoid any wilting or brown spots.

If you have your heart set on fresh flowers, how long they will last without water will totally depend on what type of greenery you choose and how hot/cold the room will be. As Valérie mentioned, you should have a conversation about this with your florist.

Have you thought of maybe doing fake greenery? Especially if you are going for a minimalist look, fake flowers/greenery would give you peace of mind, as well as save you a pretty penny Smiley winking

    I would check Michael's and Afloral !

As for real greenery, I'm assuming they would have to come from the florist fresh that morning/afternoon. It would also depend on how hot it's going to be at the venue. If fake flowers isn't an option, I would contact a florist near your place and ask them directly.
