Wedding favours!

We are doing professional photos for each family/couple and framing them (so one side will be their pic the other side will be our thank you cards) and we’re also doing small boxes of chocolate

I went with mini Maple leaf syrup bottles.

In lieu of favors we are making a donation to the dog rescue where we got our puppy. And leaving cards in each spot! Our family isnt big on keeping all that junk, and as bad as I feel, I havent kept a single one from a wedding I have been to

I have it narrowed down to three ideas I think I’ll choose two of them - personalized mints that have our wedding date and say “mint to be” or little flower seed packets or some sort of cute idea with chocolates. Pinterest is wonderful for ideas!!

Were ordering custom sunglasses from https://www.favorsbyserendipity.com/favors.html they have super cheap favors (less than $1) and they have have super expensive and unique ones!

We are doing a donation to our favourite charity in honour of our guests. We’ll put a little card at everyone’s seat to explain it. I feel like tree sprigs are a waste because no one ever plants them, we got flower seeds that never got planted and then got lost somewhere in our house. We’re doing cupcakes and pizza later in the night so it’s almost like a gift 😂

The good thing about being Sri Lankan is that our favors are very traditional! I got little suede gift boxes with our initials on top made back home, they cost about $1 each and we usually wrap homemade rich cake inside for each guest! And then I’m doing little thank you notes as well!

I'm planning on doing mini mason jars with gel / rocks that will match my theme and then put a couple lucky bamboo plants inside and then just throw a little sticker on the jar of our names and date

I will be painting a small picture for each guest. Each one will have a background using our wedding colors then a simple silhouette or design (see pictures) in white or black. I am going to use the paintings as decorations and as part of my center pieces first and then the guests can take them home at the end of the night. Two birds with one stone.

We are doing caramel apples and our wedding is in July ! we also were thinking about doing chocolate or cookies but we wanted something a little different so we settled on caramel apples

We had an October wedding so we did blankets as our wedding favours!

We are thinking of getting coasters for everyone with our faces on it ! You can get it off vista print for super cheap and put some lindor chocolates on top.

We are thinking half the favours will be mini jars of mustard pickles and the other half will be a small plant. Gives guests an option

I was thinking of etching everyone's name into a wine glass or mason jar or something, which would also serve as their place card and drinking glass. Depends though, we're having a smallish wedding but if you have a lot of guests it might get be too much work

We were planning on doing little jars of honey, they are really cute and who doesn't like honey?

I’m doing hot sauce and flavoured oil for all guests. I’m also making a drunken mix tape of the songs that we always put on when drinking with our friends. That ones going to be a total inside joke, only going to make a handful of those, but it’ll be full of comedy songs (think bo Burbank) and sound clips from our favourite quotable shows

Our wedding was very simplistic and easy so we just got some cute dollar store bags with tags and I put a packet of sunflower seeds, some soap bars I made, candy rockets and small bubble containers for the kids. They were a big hit.☺️

I'm strongly considering plant favors along with Caribbean black cake (similar to rum cake) in favor boxes. The black cake is the groom's cake and will be decorated as his favorite movie Black Panther.

I’m doing honey!

We have decised to do wildflower seed packs. There are many options to purchase and if you are crafty, many diy templates.

We are doing homemade jam. My mother in law makes it as does her mom so they’re going to make them for us in little glass mason jars. We’ll make labels for them ourselves.

We're thinking about skipping favors, but I've seen a few cute ones. My heart loves the cute puns people put with favors which is why these ones stood out to me!


Little boxes of mints (mint to be), might be a bit over used but I love a good pun. "Love is Sweet" candy, small jars of jam, honey, or maple syrup. The jam ones I've also seen with "spread some love""The Perfect Blend" small bags of coffee or tea.
You can find something cute, thoughtful, and personal in every budget if you give yourselves time to shop around and to plan!

We’re doing little jars filled with loose leaf tea!

For us, we are doing favour boxes with a piece of traditional fruit cake inside. Normally we would give it along with something else but realistically, people dont use wedding favours unless it's like wine/bottle openers or wine stoppers.

We were thinking of doing personalized chapsticks from WeddingStar.ca! They’re just so cute. We are also going to a wedding show tomorrow, maybe the same one!

We're going with a candy bar. I love how it also acts as decor. All the pretty colours of the wedding 😊

we're having a Kingdom Hearts/Disney theme wedding so we're going to be getting these bottle openers as our favors.

Honestly anything edible! lol those are the only things that's a sure fire way to make sure people actually take them. I'm buying mine and FH's favourite chocolate bars in bulk from Costco and then printed off these paper cards in our wedding colours too keep them together. I had been thinking of making jam as our favours since FH's mom and I love being in the kitchen together, but she's already hosting our wedding so I didn't want to add more to her plate.
