Do you need wedding favors for a destination wedding? If so, what are some ideas?

Destination wedding favours could be saved since there is so much to travel with and do at the venue.

I like the idea of the photo frames. I haven’t given it much thought yet for my wedding. We are not doing a destination wedding. I’d love to. Sounds fun.

My coworker had a destination wedding and she got everyone a picture frame with the date engraved on it and after the ceremony she got all the guests to get family photos done and the sent them the photos to put in the frames and it was really cute! Plus it's a great favour to remember a trip but not targeted at only the wedding which was great

I agree. We are also a online dating site (plenty of fish) couple so i thought about candy fish in little bags with a saying "two less fish in the sea." not sure if people would catch on to the reference though or if it seemed "too cute"

We do plan on doing a big group excursion but that will only be for those who can afford it so I will still have to get favors anyways for those who cant join us. Of course we will have to get extra creative for our grandparents who will be too elderly to travel.

I agree with Jessica how you can get creative on ideas for favours by doing an excursion of some sort or the luggage tags.

That's perfect for a destination wedding, and will definitely be able to fit in your own suitcases! I love the idea!

After doing some thinking, I love the idea of luggage tags! We have 75 guests invited, so far 55 have confirmed their attendance. I have to get creative as weight could be an issue while transporting things.

I would say you should, as guests are already paying quite a bit to go to your wedding, so it would be a nice gesture. You could always do welcome bags, or pay for an excursion for everyone (depending on how many guests are coming and what you are willing to spend). You could still do more typical favours such as some kind of snack, but keep in mind the weight it adds to your own suitcases on the way there.
