Wedding Favors - Yay or Nay?!

Amanda, on September 19, 2022 at 18:39 Posted in Wedding reception 0 33

Are you giving all of your guests a favor to take home? If so, tell us what you're giving to your guests as a thank you!

Or does the food, booze, and festivities cover it for you?

My husband and I decided to go without favors at our wedding.

We are having wedding favours, have no idea what yet. We have only been engaged for 3 days and have only booked our wedding venue.

I've been to weddings with favours, and my fiance has been to wedding where there have been no favours. We've decided to have our centerpieces do double duty as wedding favours. They're giant bowls (really giant!) that'll be filled with all sorts of fruit: pomegranates, grapes, oranges, lemons, limes, etc.

So guests can snack while waiting for dinner, as well as take them home afterwards, including the bowl. It may not be traditional, and perhaps a bit cheap for some judging eyes, but it's practical and edible.

You could just go allergen free- with the most common allergies such as nuts. Perhaps nut free chocolates or homemade cookies made by the bride and groom in a little cello bag....

Hmmm good point. Completely forgot about allergies Smiley angry On the fence now. If not we are also doing a photo booth where guests take 2 pics, one they keep

Yay for us! We’re having a backyard wedding and there will be a fire in the evening! And for our wedding favours we are doing individual s’mores 💗

We thought about edible favours but then you may run into allergies, gluten free, milk free, egg free, keto, paleo …. nobody wouldn’t like to have a nice photo with their significant other

We are having a photo booth, all guests will be taking a home a pic of themselves as our favour instead of something that will get tossed or left behind.

I was thinking of in lieu of wedding favors, making a donation to the Cancer Society.

I think we are opting out of this one. Ive been on the fence for a while, and I still may change my mind, I do have some time still but I know if we do a favor, it needs to be worth it on both ends. I want our guests to want it, and something that represents us.

IF we do it, I've been thinking about either little bags of coffee or bags of chips (both faves of ours)

Debated it for awhile but opted to go with our fav chocolates (Ferrero's & Reese's Pieces mini cups). Simple and any leftover are coming my way Smiley smile
