Hi guys,
I live in Vancouver, BC and was wondering what cheap wedding dress options people have found in the area?
I have fallen in love with one that is $2500 before alterations and I just don’t want to spend that. I have family coming from all over the world and I would rather use the money to make it special for them as a thank you for coming all this way than on my dress. Has anyone used a dressmaker in the area that was reasonably priced? Or been to good sample sales?
Ideally I’d want to pay $1500 max including alterations. It would be nice to keep it under than but I think that’s as far as I’d push it!

    Try MJM Wedding Services!! They custom make gowns at amazing prices so you can still get your dream dress and even have a rental option for your gown, so she will buy it back after your big day. Myrna is fantastic to work with and she is in Surrey.

    Have you also considered using FB marketplace or FB wedding groups? I've seen plenty of people giving away/ selling their dresses much less for what they bought. Another option would be when they're having sales as Hank has mentioned. David's Bridal also has many options..but I would also look at independently owned smaller shops Smiley smile

    Have you tried looking at David's Bridal? There is one in Langley that has a great selection, including some at prices that can't be beat!

    Alternatively, you can always keep your eyes open for sample sales at different stores like you mentioned - New West stores seem to always have some kind of sale.

    I got my dress at Lisa's Bridal in New West for $1400 (before alterations) and they were wonderful!

    Are you only considering newly made dresses? If you're willing to buy off the rack, especially during a sale, you can definitely get something for under that.
