I don't have a color theme but I gave the girls two colors to choose from for their dresses, Mulberry & dusty pink. The main flower in our bouquets is a deep red, the rest of it, are succulents since I am not huge on flowers but two types and they are out of season for the wedding.

I would look at your venue and go from there. For example, orange might seem like a weird and out there colour but certain shades can work if you're going for a rustic vibe.
Some colours pair better with certain seasons but by no means are these hard rules.

I am doing dusty rose and navy blue! The colors tie in with both mine and my fiancés favorite colors and I absolutely love this theme!
