You can contact bakeries to make it happen. I'm sure 1 bakery will be ok with it Plus it's a great idea.

That's a really neat idea! I would get them to make you a small cake to taste test first to make sure it comes out ok.

Great idea!!! But I would ask the Baker or cake artist to do a run through of the cake first so you can sample it. Make sure you are happy with it. Also make sure your mom is ok with you sharing that recipe with someone else! Some mom's are very secretive about their tricks!

Another option might be to hire a pro baker to do your wedding cake and have your mom do a cake for the rehearsal dinner or as a groom's cake. That would leave most of the stress to the pros but still include you mom's cake in your celebration in another way.

I have a home baking business and i have customers that get me to use their recipes all the time. I think if you ask the bakery they should be ok with it.
