Hello brides! I just wanted to share my experience. We were originally planning on getting married on August 22nd, with 150 guests at our golf course venue. We decided on May to go ahead with our ceremony, and postpone our reception to next year. We kept our ceremony to just our parents and our sibling (7 people total). We found a new outdoor venue at a friends property, built our own arbour, and I ordered silk florals from a company in Quebec. On July 22nd, it looked like my family wasn’t going to be able to fly in for the wedding due to worsening COVID conditions in their province. SO we made the decision to move our date up to August 2nd. Our original officiant couldn’t make it so we scrambled to find a new one, as well as a photographer. A friend of who is tech savvy offered to man our iPhone on a tripod with a microphone and live stream our wedding to all of our guests. It was supposed to pour with rain until half an hour before our photographer arrived, and somehow the rain held off. We toasted all of our online guests with corona in champagne flutes, and had a friend screen record the gallery view of the Zoom call so we could watch their reactions after the ceremony. We also asked everyone to send us video messages with wedding advice or just their best wishes. This day was certainly not what we had planned, but it was perfect and I wouldn’t have it any other way!!!
