We all know plans change with COVID (ours did many times) but for us all we wanted was good food, good wine, and great people 💕
We decided to keep our date and go with whatever restrictions the Ford government decided were in place on June 26 and honestly we had the most amazing day.
Our original venue (that couldn’t host our wedding) let us take over their patio (which is allowed to be open) for pre-wedding drinks 🍷
We then paid for everyone’s curbside pick up from our original caterer (also a restaurant) for everyone to eat socially distanced outdoors. (We had let all our original guests (20) know we were eloping instead of our previously planned wedding and they were welcome to come if desired.. 14 came 🤗)
We walked to a beautiful secluded spot in a local park for our ceremony ✨💛 which couldn’t have gone any better. (On our way there, random cars were honking when they saw us and people we passed by were all celebrating for us and saying congrats 🎉)
And then we shared a toast 🥂 (socially distanced outdoors) and everyone got their own “make your own” sundae kit for dessert 🤍
So just because everything didn’t go according to plan doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy your day. We just went with the flow and both LOVED how it turned out. Looking back now, we wouldn’t have it any other way ❤️
