We did it! And it was absolutely amazing! All that hard work and money, and it was absolutely worth it! I don’t regret a thing!
We went to the Rocky Mountains (Kananaskis) and had our wedding on a Thursday. It was a beautiful day! 15 degrees. The sun was shining. Two days later there was a massive snow storm. So we are so thankful that we were able to get amazing photos outside.
I was shocked at how relaxed I was. I just tried to take it all in. The only things I remember that kinda went wrong wereA) my makeup. I never had a makeup trial. We lived too far away. I didn’t like my makeup, but we were out of time and I’m passive. So I didn’t say anything and just rolled with it. B) my alterations weren’t great, and again I didn’t say anything. So we struggled to keep my boobs in the proper place lol. Luckily my photographer was AMAZING and helped fix it. C) we were told the day before that we could run the bar until 12:45. Because it wasn’t written down, they ended up closing us down at 11:30. Probably for the best though, everyone was already near drunk at that point. Lol We had kids at our wedding (15 of them) and they were so awesome! We had the best time with them on the dance floor! I didn’t hear anything at the ceremony, I was just completely focused on my husband anyways. We had a mini buffet for them, and they thought it was the most amazing thing ever. Our hotel was incredible! Worth the price too. They have the most amazing staff! We stayed at the hotel from Tuesday to Sunday, and that was the best choice. We got to set up the day before and relax for days after.
Thank you everyone on here for all the advice, tips, ideas and encouragement. This is such an amazing group of people, and I appreciate you all! My photographer already sent a couple sneaks and I look forward to getting all the photos!
