Walking down the isle to the traditional song?

Hailey, on January 12, 2022 at 16:08 Posted in Wedding ceremony 0 15
Hi everyone! Wondering your thoughts on this.. who is all walking down the isle to the traditional song?? I was thinking of doing more of a country instrumental or anything other than the traditional song?
Our wedding is far from "traditional" but I'm just wondering What are your thoughts on this?

I picked different songs for everyone walking down, like officiant/parents then groom, groomsmen, bridesmaids, flower girls with ring bearer, the bride, signing of the register, then back down the aisle a song.. So I just picked specific time stamps for each song to be played and gave it to my dj!

Lol I hear you! Take your time 😉 it’s a once in a lifetime you will be walking down the aisle take it in and enjoy the attention 🥰

Oh I love him and that song so beautiful!!!!
Haha good luck! For some reason that was easy but when we were picking ceremony music it was a struggle! Haha

Yeah excatly! I wanted it to all be the same song for everyone walking down however I don't think it'll be long enough as the house is a distance away from where the ceremony is unless I run down LOL (that always give a good laugh as everyone who knows me personally knows I get anxious being infront of people and talking infront of a crowd)

We're trying to decide if we should do "you are the reason" but callum Scott as it's so pretty... and we're now trying to decide between 2 songs for the first dance haha

I haven't even thought about it much! I wouldn't know where to start looking for a song.

I was going to go with all piano versions of newer songs I liked. When I showed them to my fiancé he said that the lyrics of the songs are better and give you more emotion.
I was concerned of not doing traditional what people would think but it’s 2022!! We can make our own traditions! This is your wedding! If you really love the lyrics of a country song put it in! Nobody’s going to be judging , there going to be listening to the story of the song!

My sister in law did all country music for her ceremony and it was beautiful. Everyone was crying.
I ended up choosing a lot of acoustic versions of songs instead of the original to make it more romantic. Original songs have more instruments and sounds in them that don’t give off a romantic vibe in my opinion!
I chose a lot of Jonah baker covers, Boyce avenue, zak Manley! They are so good and have a ton of different covers from all genres of music!

My fiancee is surprising me with her song, so I don't even know what it is yet!

We had a fusion wedding in which an Indian song was chosen based on us as brides choose their entrance song or going instrumental. You choose what fits you best for the entrance if you don't feel the traditional song doesn't work.

I sang as my wife walked down the aisle.

I don't think I've attended a single wedding that used Wagner's Bridal Chorus aka Here Comes the Bride as the song the bride comes in on so it's certainly not expected.

We did not do traditional at all. My husband's cousin played guitar and sang Millionaire by Chris Stapleton for everyone except me... Then for me was Can't help falling in love.

I'm walking down the aisle to A Thousand Years by The Piano Guys. It's the cover by Christina Perry. It was in the movie twilight when they got married

Oh My gosh I absolutely love that!!!! ❤ so so special and unique!
I feel like my whole wedding is not traditional and I feel like a instrumental country song would fit way nicer then the "here comes the bride" you know?

I wasn't planning on walking to the traditional song! My fiance is a huge Game of Thrones fan so I wanted to surprise him and walk down the aisle to the cello version of "Rains of Castamere." If you've seen the show this is the House Lannister theme and plays during the red wedding. I'm excited to see the look on his face when he realizes.
