Walking down the aisle

Chelsea, on November 7, 2016 at 13:56 Posted in Wedding ceremony 0 10

For all those brides who have divorced parents, like myself... Will you have just your dad walk you down the aisle, your step-dad, or both?

I originally wanted both my dad and step-dad to walk me down the aisle as both played a role in my life. My step-dad and I have had a falling out more recently though and I find myself second guessing my decious as we were never really close anyways and I didn't really have much of a relationship with him until I moved out of that house.. I am curious to see what other brides are doing whom are in the same or similar situation as myself.

For those brides who may not have a father in their life whether they have passed away, or are in jail, or were just never around, who will you have walk you down the aisle?

I will be having my dad, and possibly my step-dad walk me down the aisle. I am a daddy's girl 100%... Also I only have sisters, no brothers!

Thanks Chelsea. Do you have any siblings that you are close to that you may consider asking them to walk you down the aisle?

I am sure that it means a lot to them to walk you down the aisle! I also love that idea Simone!

My parents aren’t divorced, but I have been debating having both my parents walk me down the aisle… haven’t decided on anything yet, but I like the idea more and more because I hate what just my dad walking me down represents traditionally (I know most people don’t think of it that way anymore… it just bothers me on a personal level). So I feel like having both my parents keeps the tradition but changes the meaning
