Videographer, Dj, and Hair & Makeup Suggestions in the Gta?

Aubrey, on November 27, 2021 at 23:55 Posted in Ontario 0 6
My fiancé and I are trying to secure our vendors before prices go up in the new year and we would love to hear your suggestions! We’re struggling to find a videographer and DJ that fit within our budget. We’re hoping to find a videographer for $2500 or less for an 8-hour package with an edited video + raw footage of the important moments (ceremony, speeches, etc). As for the DJ, we’re hoping to find one that can do the ceremony + reception for less than $1,500. We’re getting married in Uxbridge so we’re looking for vendors in the GTA area. Thanks so much!

The budget and vendors are important to fit into your final costs. I would really suggest going with Indian vendors since they can work with you and if you have a budget in mind they can agree to do it for you. Kijji site searching Indian weddings will bring up a lot and to compare their packages/ prices to see if it fits your budget.

If you're both getting ready at the venue, you can opt for a single shooter over a two shooter setup to reduce costs. You won't get multi-angle simultaneous coverage but if you plan your day with that in mind, it can work. We got ready at our venue and only had one shooter. It worked out.

What might bring your costs slightly up is the cinematic edit (you want voiceovers and speeches, which is an intricate edit + raw footage of the ceremony. Most videographers shoot sound separately. Raw footage of the ceremony will either sound terrible or they'll need to make another edit to sync the sound. And any editing work will up the price. Just a heads up.

We’re looking for approx. 8 hour videography, with a highlight video (music + voiceovers from our vows, etc) and full footage of the ceremony and important parts of the reception (speeches, first dances). We’re getting ready at the venue.

Do you have a particular style for videography that you're looking for? Pricing can vary based on a highlight video, a cinematic film vs documentary edits. And what kind of coverage do you need? Are you getting ready in separate locations?

    Check out https://www.weddingsnmedia.com

They are based out of Whitby and do photo and video, but have separate packages if you only need one of the two.
