Venues in Calgary

My tentative wedding date is May 28 2022, we’re currently looking into venues. I am having a hard time finding any that allows you to bring in your own Caterers. Anyone have any suggestions or have used a place that allows outside catering, in the City of Calgary?

    My fiance and I had looked at The Pioneer on 8th. Really beautiful space and they allow outside caterers (I don't think they even have in-house ones). We ended up deciding to get married in the mountains so the venue didn't work for us anymore, but the event coordinator we spoke to there seemed great!

    It does seems hard to find venues to allow caterers in their building. I wish you luck as much they don't like to go this route to lose out on their packages on food. Best advise is to call and inquire about your concern for booking with them.

    Yea we woke up to Snow today lol. I’ll definitely look into the rentals, I have a friend who own one of the big event tents just not sure how many people it holds. Both my fiancé and I come from big families so it’s kind of hard to keep it small.

    Oh yes I know that one! We live in Edmonton and just had a snow storm on Tuesday lol

    Check out some rental company's. You might be able to find somewhere that rents those big white tents better than buying one

    Yea, nothing yet. Haven’t checked fb yet but now I’ve throw in an outdoor wedding but in a tent. Only thing is May Weather in Alberta is very unpredictable lol.
