Venue with no kitchen

Heidi, on February 13, 2020 at 14:15 Posted in Wedding reception 0 7
Has anyone had a venue without a kitchen? Interested in a place that only has a fridge and sink, but no oven/stovetop.
What were some solutions you thought of? We are hoping to do a high tea/charcuterie thing, but would like to have SOMETHING warm. Venue is over 1.5 hours away from us..

If anyone you know has an air fryer, ask to borrow it. Those things are AMAZING!!! Speaking from experience, you can cook like a full dozen spring rolls within 10 min. I know that may not seem like a lot, but considering tapas get passed around by the dozen, doing that is totally fine. It’s like a mini super fast oven

You can rent warming dishes where you put the little candles underneath. If that doesn't work borrow an army of slow cookers for anything hot.

I've been to one where they just used chafing dishes as well as slow-cookers to keep the food warm.

Portable high tea companies are starting to become popular. I’m not sure if there is one close to you but maybe there is and you won’t have to worry about the kitchen provided.
