Thanks for your comment! I’ve been in food and Bev for many years so I have wonderful contacts who would be able to bartend and family friends that own a catering business! I agree, many people definitely wouldn’t think about the whole picture.

There's a number of places that allow you to bring your own food but there are usually provisions. 1, your venue rental rate will usually be more expensive since they can generate revenue of you on catering. 2, venues that don't offering catering usually won't have a liquor license and you'll need to get a Special Occasion Permit. 3, most venues require outside food come from a licensed source and home made meals are usually not allowed for health and safety reasons as well as insurance reasons. 4, if you run your own bar, you have to get licensed servers. You can't just bring in alcohol you buy yourself and have everyone go at it. And you definitely cannot profit off the bar tab.


If you're hoping to save money by bringing your own food and beverage, it's bit going to work out the way you think. Just an FYI.
That being said, I know Ascott Parc in Vaughan allows outside catering but not the bar.
