Venue renovations

Hi ladies, unfortunately my venue (The Doctors House) has gone through a renovation recently for the room I had booked. Unfortunately I did not get notified before and I have already planned my venue decorations with the old design of the place which I liked before. I really do not like the new look of the gardens room at Doctors House and I would not have chosen it if it looked like this.
Thr room used to a wooden structure with bronze chanlaliers. Now they have changed the wooden color of the structure to all white and replace the bronze chandeliers with crystal ones!
What can I do about it since I do not like the room anymore and my decorations doesn’t go well with the new look of the place!

    No of course not. I'm really sorry to hear that this is happening to you. Have you spoken with the venue? How different is your décor vision compared to what the renovated room looks like?

    They told me about it when I went on my venue tour, but that was in September. Perhaps when you went they hadn’t planned it yet?

    How did you know about the change? I didn’t know at all! They should have informed me when we were making contact that they are going to do it! It is not fare to me at all! Unfortunately I do not have a photo.

    I did it myself...it’s not gonna be cost benefiting changing the decor though!

    That venue is gorgeous! Is it an option to switch rooms within the venue? You could talk to them an explain how you feel. Or talk to them and see what the recommend doing/ can do for you? Good luck!

    Hi Mary, I am also getting married at The Doctor’s House in the Garden Room. I was informed they were renovating the connecting room into a dance floor but didn’t know they were changing the aesthetics until reading this! That’s very disappointing as I also loved the rustic atmosphere of the room originally. Do you happen to have any pictures of the changes? I wonder if the Heritage Room is still available if you have enough people, you may be able to switch!
