Venue payment

We have 4 payments-a deposit of $1500 to confirm the date, a 25% of balance this month, 50% of the balance in August and the balance one week before the wedding with final numbers.

Our venue asked for a $2000 deposit, with 90% of the cost paid for 30 days before, and in full before the wedding.

My venue asked for $1000 down and then the rest of the payment 1 week before the event.

all depends on the venue.

The first venue we originally were going to book asked for 3500 and then a second payment a few months before the day, final payment after the wedding.
The venue we went with asked for 2000, and final count and payment is a month or so before the date.

Honestly every venue is different. Every year venues change their prices. Our venue asked us a $3000 dollar payment to be able to lock in our date. And then another about half way before our wedding and then last payment after the wedding once final numbers were put through
