Venue option dilemma ..

Hi brides !

I just wanted to ask if anyone had a similar situation... I have found a venue that is stunning and offers everything we want (including price) but its an hour and a half away from where I live. The closest town that has a hotel is 34 mins away from the venue.. We would need to do a shuttle service or a dd program but I'm not sure where to even start on that. Anyone have something similar going on and is it worth it ?

ps. it would be around the london, on area if that helps !

    So long as it makes you and your FS happy, then it's worth it! People have travelled farther for weddings, and those who love you shouldn't have any problems going the distance for you Smiley smile

    We are in a similar situation over here in Manitoba - so what we are doing is going to have the option presented to the guests to pay $10-$20/ person to get a ride there and back (our venue is 45 min. from the perimeter). If they want it then they can have it, but if not then they can drive (it will cost us less in booze anyway).

    How close is it to London? There's lots of hotels in the city for blocks.

    I know some people rent school busses for shuttle services and here's a few bus companies in London that rent:

    Badder Bus

    Elgie Bus Lines

    Langs Bus

    Murphy's Bus - based in Oxford, Middlesex, and Elgin Counties.

    School busses might actually be more cost effective than other options and I've heard it's worth it for those who have venues and need shuttle services for guests.
