Venue for rehearsal dinner

Jason, on March 11, 2019 at 00:14 Posted in Before the wedding 0 7
We will be about 20-25 for the rehearsal dinner. We are just torn on where to have it. We don't want to blow the bank and we want to keep it casual and chill. Any thoughts?

Either a restaurant or a parent's house would be a good choice!

Our venue has different sizes of banquet halls and one of them is for up to 30 people so we are having ours in there. It's a hotel and his family, all of our wedding party, will be staying there that night so it made it easier for us.

All the rehearsal dinners I've been to have been at a parent's home. If possible I would host it in a backyard with a BBQ.

Some restaurants will do a catered menu for a good price. We have one in Niagara that is 20 bucks a plate for some good Greek food!

We are also contemplating doing it at one of our parents house and then ordering some food to keep it a little cheaper

Our rehearsal is in our church and we just rented out one of the rooms at the church for the dinner after! We are ordering in pizza and wings to keep things easy and inexpensive! There will be enuff food at the wedding the next day!

I say find a restaurant that you like, have it on your or a parent’s home, or rent an Airbnb and have it there.

Are there any nice Italian restaurants around where you live in Ottawa? I think that would be casual but not too casual. Otherwise you could always do something in your backyard (if you have one) to make it really chill.

    Best of luck!
