Venue Decor help

Melissa, on November 19, 2021 at 21:58 Posted in DIY 0 13
Hi everyone! So I fell In love with this venue, and we decided to book it, but I almost didn’t because I HATE the rope lighting on the ceiling of the barn. That was the only thing I didn’t like about the venue. Otherwise it’s breathtaking. At the time I figured I could just hang baby’s breath from them and it would be fine, but I’m learning now that could get very costly. Anyone have any suggestions that would be cost friendly? They MUST be covered! Venue Decor help 1

Thank you Laura! I appreciate your reply. Maybe I’ll do eucalyptus! That’ll be way cheaper I think.

I agree with Sheila. Right now it's all you see. Chances are, once everything else is in the room you may not even notice. If it still bugs you, ceiling drapery or eucalyptus garlands could really help disguise them!

I think when you get your tables set up, and centrepieces and everything, it’s going to be so beautiful that no one will notice the lights. I know they stand out a lot right now, but the only one who will be bothered by it is you, your guests are not going to remember the ceiling light at your wedding.

You could rent an AV company to put up better lights but the labour to take down and put up lights may be similar to buying flowers to cover it up. That being said, depending on what kind of lights they are, flowers might be dangerous especially if the lights run hot.

Oh seem odd a brand new venue would pick such ugly lights lol.

Id probably still reach out to them for ideas, to even see what your allowed too.
Anything I can think of to cover with be costly too, sorry I’m no help.

I’m sure you’re not the first to want to cover them, I’d reach out to the venue to ask how’s it’s been done in the past to get ideas.
