I am thinking of making my own veil in a mantilla style... I've read that you are supposed to match your veil to your dress color but since I've decided on blush I'm not sure that matching is the best option for me... How did you decide which style and color of veil, and is anyone else making their own?

Hi Katherine! I love the idea of making your own veil! And wow... You're dress is blush! It must be so beautiful! I can't wait to see pictures!!

You could have a blush veil as well or go for an off-white or ivory. You could also add a few details in blush to your veil.

Ooo this is a great idea! I think that would be so unique to have a blush veil! If it would be too much blush though, ivory might go a bit better than white.

I thought of making one but with all the other things going on it was just hard to find the time. I ended up finding one cathedral style with lace trim on eBay for $25.

You can dye a white veil or if the seamstress is hemming your dress and the bottom is tulle they can make a veil out of it or they can make a trim around an ivory or white veil.
