Uplights on a Window?

Don’t up light the windows. There’s a reason you don’t see any photos of that done. It won’t work very well. The light will just reflect off the window and look odd.

If you really want uplighting keep it to the other walls. But honestly I don’t think your venue suits uplighting. If you want to add extra details with lights I would do what others have suggested and hang some lights from the ceiling.

Thanks for everyone’s input! I’m thinking that the uplights will light up the beam above it more so in the evening that you can see in the first photo. We will not drape any of the beautiful windows.

I would leave uplighting off the window too, unless you they have curtains and you plan on having the curtains closed during your wedding.

The string up lights sounds like a neat alternative though!

Usually uplighting is used on walls/curtains. if there is columns/wall between the windows. could put it there.

I like the idea Stephanie put forward of maybe having lights strung up instead! They could go in-between the windows!

I personally wouldnt do any lights on the windows! I feel like they might reflect weirdly?? And if theres any lights outside it would really looking amazing to look out the windows to those instead! I would do the up lights on the walls but leave the windows bare! Maybe see if you can string up some lights outside instead that guests can see from the inside?
