Upcoming wedding receptions: What are your plans?

Hi everyone,

Our wedding is coming up on September 25, 2021 and we're a bit confused on what to do at this point -- either we proceed with the planning process for that date OR our venue gave us the option to sell our wedding contract (can be postponed to May 2022). We can't postpone ourselves due to various personal reasons so we need to make one of those 2 options work. We listed it on FB (offering discounts and other bonuses) but of course it's a lot harder than we thought to sell. It's just been a bit discouraging but I know there are a lot of other couples out there struggling with the same dilemma, so it is what it is.

My question to you all who are getting married in the next few months is; What are your plans for your wedding? Has anyone been successful with selling their wedding contract yet? Any tips?

    If postponing isn't an option I'd say to get married on that date the best you can. No point in throwing away money. I see so many couples trying to sell their contracts so that is going to be really hard right now. September shouldn't have a total lockdown. It may not be exactly everything you wanted but if you can find parts that can excite you I'm sure it'll be a great day. With so much opening up by July you may have a lot more kf a normal wedding than you think possible right now. Some people have had amazing days even with only 10 guest limits. Good luck I hope it works out for you.

    We have the same date!!! We are going ahead with our wedding in September. Our venue backed out last months so we are hopeful going to have 25 people in our backyard.
    We postponed from 2020 and just don’t want to do it again. It’s not exactly what I had pictured but i will be marrying my best friend.

    If you're being married anyway, might as well use the contract yourself. What would your alternative be?
    We're also in September and will be going through with our wedding that we'll plan with current restrictions.
