Unplugged ceremony

Chelsea, on November 7, 2016 at 10:40 Posted in Wedding ceremony 1 5

Just curious to see if anyone will be having an unplugged ceremony meaning all camera's and phones to be shut off or put away? Or do you like having guests capture all the moments even if you have a professional photographer! I see people always have different opinions on this topic and would love to hear what everyone on here thinks!

We are doing an unplugged ceremony but reception is fine! The first chalkboard sign I made was our unplugged sign. I didn't take a pic but this is what I based it off of.

We are also doing a photo scavenger hunt after the ceremony/before the cocktail hour so we want our guests to take pictures during that time and use our wedding hashtags to tag them. We also got a custom Snapchat filter for the day of the wedding.

We are having an unplugged ceremony to protect the privacy of our guests and not having our guests interfere with our videographer and photographers taking pictures.

I'm fairly certain that we will have unplugged just for the ceremony. After that I’m fine with it, I just don’t want people hanging in the aisle blocking the photographer I paid a ton of money for to get a grainy/blurry photo. I feel so whiny saying that but some people just don’t get subtlety and my mom is definitely one of those people…

    Unplugged all the way!

Our ceremony will have only 14 people in attendance- I would just hate to see phones instead of faces in my pictures! We are having 2 photographers, and with a small group, we are certian they will capture all of the moments we want to have forever.

At the reception we will encourage people to take pictures and share them with us thorugh social media.
