Hello,

My finace and I have a beautiful daughter that is 2 (will be 3.5 at the time of our wedding) and we really want to include her in our ceremony. Obviously at such a young age there is not alot we can have her do in the way of having her own vows but we do want our special day to include her as she means the world to us. Looking for ways other people have included there children to show they are a family not just a couple.

Thanks Everyone.

Hi Meggan, Oh so nice that she will be present. Did you already find a flower girl dress for her? Here I have some ideas: 7 Adorable Flower Girl Dresses and Hairstyle: Flower girls. Let me know if you like it. Smiley love

We are including our daughter too, she will be almost 2. She is going to be the flower girl. She will walk down by her self or with me. Haven't decided yet. She will probably be in the middle of us up front but which ever she does as long as she doesn't cry and scream I'm happy if she wants to be there. Make some vows that she could say. If your doing a rose ceremony instead of giving each other the rose give both to your daughter.

I saw a video of a step dad ..though this is not that..He bought a ring specifically for his step daughter and included her in the ceremony that way. Yes I cried it was beautiful.

I've heard of a ceremony for a blended family which included their children by allowing each of them to "make a wish" on the wedding rings before they were exchanged. It was very sweet and the kids just glowed when they got to do it.

I haven't been to a wedding where they have incorporated their child in the way you describe but I love the idea. It makes total sense to present yourselves as a family and not just a couple. I think that is very thoughtful and special for your daughter. Maybe she can be a junior bride and you guys can make some vows to her as well as to each other? Let us know what you decide to do!
