Then yeah, my original idea of splitting the ballroom into two rooms, one for the ceremony and one for the reception would be your best bet.

No Hank I don’t need the whole ball room. however, that big room is split into A and B. The venue manager told me I can use the whole room that day if no one else using it. Most likely will only be me since it’s a Thursday. I will only have 80 guest 85 max. The while ball room fit up to 400 or 500. I don’t think I would want the ceremony in the hallway. I’ll talk to the manager. He told be last year they’ll workout something. Thanks again.😁

Do you need the full ballroom for the reception? If not, it looks like it could be split into two rooms via a partition with their own separate entrances. Use one for the ceremony and the other for the reception, with the lobby for the cocktail hour.

If you do need the full space, I would have the ceremony in the lobby followed by the reception in the ballroom. You can have cocktail hour in the ballroom as people find their seats. Or if you prefer to keep cocktail hour in the lobby, staff can easily take away chairs in the lobby during cocktail hour.

Either set up will not require you to flip the room and avoid unnecessary delays.
