Crispy onions for sure! (the kind of breaded/crispy fried ones), maybe some different flavour things like a pineapple salsa, salsa verde, chipotle crema, lime slices for sure. Maybe even a queso?

I think for a wedding I'd do each separately cause not everyone likes everything in it but for family taco night it saves so much cleaning.

I’m so glad I asked this question because I never in a million years would have thought to add pineapple or pickles to the taco bar.

When are you getting married? I’m worried that buffet or self serve style stuff might not be allowed by August and because I don’t have room in my budget for a caterer I might order everyone white spot lol 😂 That is my back up plan but my fiancé thinks it’s a great idea.I have a good friend willing to help plate everyone’s stuff so it’s not to go bags all over the place.I just wish there would be some clarity on what will be allowed and what won’t be.

We're also doing a taco bar! We plan to have beef, beans, lettuce, tomatoes, sour cream, guacamole, cheese, salsa, limes, lentils, cilantro, and peppers available.

We're doing ours as a late night snack, so we're keeping it relatively simple but we also want to have options for our guests with dietary restrictions

When we do tacos at home I'll do a 7 layer taco dip cause we all like the same things. It has refried beans, sour cream, salsa, cheese, lettuce, olives and green onions. We take a scoop and add our meat to it. It's just so much easier than having so many containers on the table. So I guess those would be my items just individually for wedding 😉

Toppings can be many to choose for tacos, though keeping it simple is enough to serve. Tomatoes, onions, sour cream, salsa, guacamole, pico de gallo, lettuce, jalapenos, hot sauce, tobacco sauce, shredded cheese, rice, and lime for tangy flavour. Veggies not added to the ground beef is a nice touch too. The variety can include corn, bell peppers, pickled onions, cilantro and pineapple for sweetness.

I love this! A taco bar sounds like so much fun!
One of my all time favourite toppings on tacos is dill pickles, diced up super small. A little controversial, but my FMIL got me started on it and I’m hooked. Adds just a little bit of a tangy crunch that is so good!

Another topping that is perhaps a little more mainstream is crushed Doritos. Especially if you’re having soft tacos, it adds a little bit of crunch to them.
If you want to be a little more traditional, you could also throw some pico de gallo or black beans in the mix too.
