Erin, on November 18, 2019 at 16:06 Posted in Before the wedding 0 8
So I'm putting together our wedding website and I get thinking...am I putting this together too soon? When is the right time to post your wedding website? Any suggestions?

I would have it on save the dates or the invites as well.

I've done my wedding website through the same site I'm getting my invitations from and there is a link to it on the invitations.

We're also planning on sending out our invitations a bit earlier than suggested since we aren't doing a formal save the date

We've included it on our Save the Dates too. It has all the details about accommodations so we've only sent them to family and the bridal party at this point to give them first dibs at booking rooms since there are a limited number. We've actually had surprisingly few people visit it so far - hopefully just since most are older and not overly savvy... We'll have to tell the stragglers to get on it.

I am putting it on my save the dates which are going out 10 months before the wedding. This way it provides the hotel block information, timelines etc and answers some questions (ie are children invited? answer : nope make it a date night!) ahead of time. We are password protecting it and providing the password with the Save The Date. So only those who get the Save The Date can access details Smiley smile

For me personally I never "posted" it per say. Because we weren't able to invite everybody that is on our social media accounts it didn't seem right to post the website that they will be able to see and then possibly have to tell them that they aren't invited before the invites are even sent.

We waited till people asked about the wedding and then gave them the url if they were on the invite list - as well as had it on the wedding invitations for those who were invited.
