    One of my cousins has been somewhat like this, other than offering to help out. She isn't on the invite list but constantly comments on things on Facebook about our wedding that she wants to come to the wedding. No subtle hints there at all. I don't really know her.. other than knowing she's a cousin lol

    Why would you invite someone you barely know to your wedding? I can understand them being someone's +1 but not an actual guest. I haven't had this happen since I know everyone I invited.

    His family has offered to help alot with DIY for the wedding... I don't know them well but really appreciate the help and how welcoming they are.

    My matron of honour was so excited that I asked her to be part of my wedding. Looking for a dress for her was exhausting. I finally said, "I'm sure whatever you choose will look lovely". As long as it was dark blue, I didn't care. Then she volunteered her husband to be MC without asking him first, and we hardly know the man. I told her I would think about it, and left it alone.

    I haven't had this. We only have 40 guests and it's all family so we know everyone. Everyone has been very helpful!
