Hello everyone!

From you shouldn't wear white because it's too harsh with your skin tone to let me plan your wedding.

Who has this friend? Smiley laugh

My second brother was trying to take some of the tasks upon himself whrn it eas needed. One was transportation which he thought was to get the family to the location when they themselves had fixed a plan for their families. He lost the battle! Didn't get the medley songs in time for me to hear and was telling me that the mixture if 3 was not indicated. He seemed to be the know it all when at the end my parents aknowleged i had everything under control and how they loved the day and fhe venue.

We made up at reception and hugged it out after the speech.

My mother is the one with all the wedding ideas and opinions. She did not have her own wedding because family had huge argument, she just got married at our home with maybe 10 people present, so I think she is trying to over compensate for her lack of a wedding.

I do not have this issue per se. My FH and I are not particularly traditional so there are some things we wanted to ignore or leave out of our wedding but others have insisted that certain things are required and expected of weddings. Since they aren't big things we have just agreed to add them.

I actually have a cousin who is getting married this year as well and she has a certain image of how a wedding should be and she wants a career in wedding or event planning and so to her she always tells me what her wedding will be like and then picks out flaws with my wedding. I always say to her, this is my wedding, it is supposed to represent me and things will be done the way I want them, not the way you think they should be.

If I did have someone in my circle like this, I would take them aside and kindly tell them that while I appreciate their opinion, it is my wedding and I will make the final decisions. If that doesn't work, I would take them aside and tell them to stop interfering.
