Hi everyone! Happy Monday.
So I was talking to my reception venue's preferred decorator (they are very familiar with the venue), and she was saying that I should go with a lighter colour for the tablecloths because the room I am in has no natural lighting.
I trusted her and picked a matte gold colour tablecloth, a dark purple (eggplant colour) seat cover, and a charger plate that is clear with a thick gold trim on the lip of the plate.
I didn't sign anything with her and she only has given me a quote.
I absolutely HATED the napkins so I went to a different decorator to get beautiful napkins at half the price.
I was looking at the pictures I took at the preferred vendor and I'm starting to hate the scheme. The matte gold looks too "in your face" for me and I feel like the bridesmaids will disappear into the chair covers.
My initial thought was to have white seat covers, a white tablecloth with a purple tablecloth on top (or reversed purple bottom white top), but the decorator kept telling me it will be too dark.
What should I do?
