Table size and number of people?

Kelsey, on May 11, 2021 at 12:06 Posted in Wedding reception 0 3
We are thinking of putting 2 8ft tables together to make and extra long table. Would you be able to fit 4 people on each side of an 8ft table comfortably? And not having anyone on the end. (16 people total in the thought of putting 2 8fts together).

Has anyone done this or have any advice? Any photos of 8ft tables set up with 4 settings on each side so I can visualize?

Yes... more so just looking for real life opinions from those here who have set it up like that to see whether they thought it was too tight. Thanks

You can google basically any table size and it will tell you approximately how many people you can fit. There should be photos too of examples in google images.

Four people per side is pretty standard for an 8' table.

A typical dining table is around 4' and fits two people per side. Your 8' table should fit four. Depending on the depth of the table, you may need to organize how things like beverages, decor, and serving plates are placed.
