Table layout small wedding

Hello,

We are (finally !!) getting married March 2025. I have plenty of time to plan but I am not sure what to do with my seating layout for the reception. We are getting married on a big private terrace in Dominican Republic. The only people invited will be :

- Our 3 kids (that will then be 6, 5 and 2)

- My mom and my dad

- His mom and his step-dad

- His brother, SIL and their 2 young kids

- My sister, BIL and their 2 young kids.

So it will be an intimate wedding. My first though was to have a rectangular table for us and our 3 kids and have the 2 long perpendicular table on each side of our table (so we would form a big U shape table). I was however told that at my venue I would have to pay for the rectangular tables and it would cost about $700 of tables. I find that to be a big ridiculous. The only rectangular table included is the one for me and my spouse. The rest should be round table. That brings me a dilemma. Should I just suck up the cost of the long table and do the big U shape or should I have the sweetheart table for us 2 and have our kids sit at a round tables ? Wouldn't it be weird to have 2 round tables with a small rectangular one. What would you do ?
