Table Decorations

Tinaka, on March 5, 2020 at 05:21 Posted in Wedding reception 0 16

Things are finally starting to come together and i'm feeling less stressed. I have a good idea of the decorations I would like, even MAYBE have narrowed down some colours lol.

What im struggling with now is our Table decorations, well more specifically place settings. We are going to be doing a buffet style so the plan it to keep the plates with the food. We have limited time to set our venue up so im even thinking about not putting silver wear or napkins out and keeping those with the food as well.

The problem is that leaves our tables pretty bare. The centre pieces i would like to use aren't very big, I want to just do 3 succulents similar to this

Table Decorations 1

I would like to do this for table numbers

Table Decorations 2

I want to put name cards at each seat, but is that enough? or is it going to look silly so bare. I thought about paper doilies, but if the table cloth is white then they wont really been seen.

Mirrors are great to give that appealing look with the 3 succulent flowers on top. Tealight holders between each small vase gives that personal touch of brightness. An idea I used to put a simple touch to large table was a vase with white floral ball and menu cards on clipped bells. Favours with names personalized was also done.

    I love this idea!

my caterer is bringing the napkin and cutlery so I wonder if he will give it to us early for this.

I know, i found it on pinterest and loved it.

I'm going to encourage other people to go visit other tables if they want too so we have a bit of everything from everyone to read each year.

I'll think about the mirror thing but we cant have candles at our venue, I don't like the look of just plain out in the open fake ones either lol

You can do a table runner or have a candle on the table as well? if your tables are small your decor is fine but if theyre big i would put little mirrors under the plant things or get a candle as well or a 3 set of candles for each table

Thank you! I'm pretty excited about the venue. We aren't allowed candles, but maybe I can do something with the battery operated ones

I had a similar concern. We're doing food stations, so the plates will be up by the stations, and we're doing tiny centerpieces. We decided to set the table with cutlery, add a napkin in the middle where the plate would normally go and call it a day.

You could do wrapped cutlery at each place setting if you have time before to prepare them, that way you only need to place one piece at each seat instead of having knives forks and spoons in the proper spots.

Of that isn't an option I like the idea of additional decor, maybe even adding a few framed copies of the menu along with the table numbers to fill space and get people excited for dinner.

Throw in a table runner and charger plates. That will help fill it up

Will you have circular tables or long ones? If they are circular then I think that it would be enough - if long tables then I would say maybe a table runner?

Those are great table numbers. I love the books and succulents too. Maybe if you put a few tealight candles around as well to give a warm glow once it gets a little darker? I would try to get the table wear set up but if you just dont have time I wouldnt worry about it too much. Looking at the picture of your venue it looks nice, bright and airy.
