Suggestions for indoor wedding photos in Edmonton Ab?

Derek, on September 3, 2021 at 18:51 Posted in Alberta 0 5
Hi all...

We are planning our wedding for late September 2022. Most things are booked except we are trying to look for a venue for indoor photography (in the event of bad weather). Unfortunately we are hitting a brick wall as so many venues are closed or have changed their hours. As examples, Muttart is only allowing photographs on certain weekdays when they are closed to the public (this does us no good as the wedding is a Saturday). U of A Convocation Building is not available for September weddings as the U is in session. Rutherford House is closed indefinitely as per their website. We are trying to stay positive but this is very discouraging as all our search results are turning up outdoor venues, and the suggestions made by our photographer are closed or just not available for that time of year. Does anyone else have ideas for indoor photography in Edmonton/Sherwood Park areas?

Would a golf course have facilities for indoor photography? I imagine there would be some but I am not familiar with what a golf course might have for it.

Point given as to knowing your wedding party included. Golf course may have good views too if they are still open.

I doubt a house would work, we are looking to do photos with the wedding party (10 total) and family members (my fiancee's family is quite big, so there would be several more people).

Venues would be giving restrictions if they feel their hours for indoor photos are after the hours of operation. A house or something to that effect work if the couple do allow you to take pictures on their property?
