Styrofoam Balls - Where to buy?

Stephanie, on March 12, 2018 at 15:11 Posted in DIY 0 16

Hey all!

I'm in the process of testing out some centrepiece ideas and I want to get styrofoam balls for the tops of vases to gule flowers to. However Styrofoam balls are $36.00 at Michaels which is waaayyyy too expensive for my taste. Any ideas on where to get 12" styrofoam balls from for a better price?

Also open to ideas of other things to use instead of a styrofoam ball!

Yeah, those coupons have become like gold in our household! And that sucks about the Dollar Tree, I though for sure it would come through. There's also sites online that have them for cheap (like craft wholesale places) but they are a little bit sketchy :/

Yeah the 40% off coupons is how I've been living there haha! But I think I'm moving away from the idea now that needed the Styrofoam but I'll keep this in mind! I've tried the dollar tree but again the balls are all so small.... trying the US is a good idea!!

Have you had any luck? Also, have you tried Dollar Tree? I find they have better craft and party stuff than the Dollarstore. Also, Walmart might have some. Or if you are making a trip to the States, you could try Hobby Lobby. Absolute worst case scenario, cut out the 40-50% coupons from their flyer and from their email list and just buy one at a time with a coupon each time!

AliExpress can sells them for about $16, but you have to order well in advance as it can take up to 2 months sometimes to get items from them.

    Hey everyone!

That's for the tips! I tried a few dollar stores however the largest size they seemed to have was 4-6"... looking for more around 10"!

I have found them at Michaels but at $36.00 a piece.... not what I really want to spend on a foam ball haha!

I second dollar stores. We got some Styrofoam balls last weekend for 1.25 (they were about 10 inch though, but I'm expecting that if they got them in 12 they won't be much more expensive). We got ours at a Daiso, maybe you got one there too?

Dollar store. Or a hardware/craft store. There's a store here called Lee valley and I have heard that they carry some crafty things.

There are some great craft places and wedding wholesale places in the Tomken area of Mississauga ! Try and take a look at canpol! I’m getting my vases, mirrors and jewels from there.
